Shakira’s dress, which featured neon rose buds, was a demure choice with a Peter Pan collar and ladylike kicked out skirt.
She maintained some of her signature sex appeal with a flash of her enviable legs in towering heels and carried a cute clutch bag with one hand.
In the new animated film, Shakira plays a pop star called Gazelle and lends her vocals to the song Try Everything, which was penned by Sia and Stargate.

Appearing at the Barcelona world premiere earlier this month, the singer revealed that she had a large part to play in the look of her blonde-tressed animal character.
She made the revelation that she insisted animators give her alter-ego a more curvaceous figure because she was ‘too slim’ at first inception.
‘I feel like her and I have a common denominator,’ she said. ‘When the directors told me about her I said “That is me”, but she was too slim so I asked them to give her more curves and put more meat on the bones. She needs bigger hips so she has them now.
Balancing act: She walked gracefully on her tall and towering nude heels
Teaming up: On the red carpet, the musician was accompanied by comedian Tommy Chong

Curvy girl: She recently revealed that her animated alter-ego was ‘too slim’ when she first saw it and she encouraged the designers to give her more curves
She added: ‘I thought they were going to animate before I recorded the voice but it was the opposite; they recorded my voice to capture the emotions of the scene and then animated the character to my voice to reproduce the expressions. It was interesting for me.’
The musician called her character ‘opinionated’ but made the point that ‘she cares about her people. She feels she has a social responsibility.’
Busy doing her bit for promotion of the film, the mother-of-two also appeared at the LA photocall for the film earlier on Wednesday wearing a suitably chic daytime ensemble.
